NuVo’s David Rodarte Wins CEA TechHome Leadership Award
Leader of whole-home audio products manufacturer is honored for his volunteerism in the electronics industry.
NuVo Technologies president and COO David Rodarte won the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA's) 2008 TechHome Leadership Award at the Spring Electronic House Expo (EHX) in Orlando, Fla.
The award is presented each year to the person who has made significant contributions to the growth and success of the TechHome industry.
Rodarte donates time as an industry spokesman and cross-industry bridge-builder, devoting much of his time to organizations like the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), promoting cooperation between the consumer electronics and builder industries.
Rodarte serves as chairperson of the CEA Builder Initiative and as a board member of CEA TechHome, which represents the entire channel for home control, entertainment and networking products.
"I am honored and humbled to receive this award," said Rodarte. "I accept it on behalf of all of my co-volunteers, whose passion for this industry is unwavering, awe-inspiring and making a real difference.
"I also proudly share it with the employees of NuVo, whose dedication and commitment to this business allowed our company to rapidly grow in the midst of a soft growth rate for the industry overall in 2007."
Rodarte also serves on the Board of Directors for Sherry Laboratories, a third-party independent laboratory for environmental testing.
