Lutron Names Michael Pessina President
Lutron Electronics has appointed Michael Pessina as its president, adding to his 35-year career with the lighting control manufacturer.

Michael W. Pessina has held many positions in his 35-year career with Lutron Electronics, and now he can add president to the list.
The Coopersburg, Pa.-based lighting control pioneer made the announcement Friday morning, saying Pessina "has acquired broad experience in the engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing areas" during his career. He also serves on Lutron's Executive Board and its Advisory Council.
Pessina was promoted to senior vice president in 2000 and executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2002, plus he was named president, office of product development at Lutron in 2009.
Pessina also counts membership in the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Board of Governors of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) among his attributes.
Additionally, he is on the Board of Trustees of DeSales University and chairs the school's Audit Committee.
