Linn’s Sekrit Multizone Amp Features 3 HDMIs, Songbox Software
Linn's new 1U-high Sekrit DSM features a 50-watt Class D amp, a variety of inputs that includes multiple HDMI options and the company's Songbox software that automatically links to a homeowner's iTunes music library.
Linn Products has one of the most prestigious histories in the entire world of consumer audio, and products like its Sondek LP12 turntable still set the benchmark for many long time audio enthusiasts.
During the just concluded holiday season the company announced an early present to dealers when it introduced the new Sekrit DSM product. The launch of this product expands the company’s range of DSM solutions and according to Linn, the Sekrit can be used by electronics professionals to provide homeowners with a whole-house A/V solution that is compatible with HDMI.
Linn says that installers can use the Sekrit with everything from computers and streaming devices like Apple TV to tap into networked audio, and traditional source components like Blu-ray players, gaming systems and CD players.
Facilitating its multiroom versatility is a choice of three HDMI inputs;Toslink and S/PDIF inputs and a set of analog inputs. The Sekrit also offers built-in amplification that is rated to deliver 33 watts into a 4-ohm load and 50 watts into a 4-ohm load when set up for bridged applications. The 1RU high component also incorporates Linn’s Songbox media server software that enables installers to set the system up to share their clients’ iTunes content. Homeowners can access and control their content via the company’s Kinsky software that works with PCs, Macs, Apple iOS and Android devices to provide users with a complete music system.
Linn will be exhibiting at CES 2013 in Venetian Suites 31-233 and 35-209.
