Lifeware Adds iPhone Interface for System Control
Enables iPhone/iPod control of Microsoft Media Center-based systems.
Lifeware’s iPhone/iPod interface will be available on Lifeware version 2.0.4.
Lifeware has added an iPhone/iPod interface to its Microsoft Media Center-based whole-home automation and entertainment platform.
The app is being demoed here at CEDIA Expo 2008. It enables users to connect to Lifeware systems over the home network and use the iPod or iPhone as a full-featured remote.
Users will have access and control of the home's digital entertainment, as well as lighting, climate, security, surveillance and more.
"Consumers have quickly embraced the iPhone because it provides them with a great experience," says Lifeware CEO Seale Moorer.
"By adding Lifeware to an iPhone or iPod touch the great experience provided by these remarkable devices is extended to provide complete control over the various home automation devices, entertainment content, and AV devices in their home."
The iPod/iPhone app will be available with Exceptional Innovation's release of Lifeware version 2.0.4.
Crestron and Savant have also released iPhone apps at CEDIA.
