Leon Speakers Intros Horizon Speakers for Videoconferencing, Telepresence [PR]
Delivers high fidelity sound and high definition video all in one sleek cabinet for optimal performance
Ann Arbor, MI ─ Leon Speakers, leaders in the custom high-fidelity audio industry, today introduced its new HorizonTM Interactive Series of high-performance, vocally optimized audio solutions for telepresence and video conferencing systems. The Horizon Interactive Personal Unit speakers (for single displays) and Multi-Display speakers (for any number of panels) combine high fidelity sound and high definition video all in one sleek cabinet with custom-sized housings for video conferencing hardware. This combination allows the audio experience to be in perfect proximity to the video source, creating a truly immersive, world-class system.
“After working with the top global integrators on telepresence installations over the past 10 years, we’ve developed a scalable audio solution that enables you to mount any telepresence camera directly within our speaker enclosure,” said Noah Kaplan, President of Leon Speakers. “This allows for easier installation and helps to place both the speaker and the camera in optimal locations as it can be mounted above or below any display. It’s also more aesthetically appealing since the cabinet is built to match the exact dimensions and finish of the screen, which is ultimately our goal for both residential and commercial environments.”
Focused on the corporate video conferencing and telepresence market, the HorizonTM Interactive speakers are optimized for vocal clarity and a wide sound stage, giving the sense of different people in different places. A camera cabinet is custom crafted into the speaker to accommodate the full range of motion of the specified camera(s), including: Tandberg 1080, Polycomm HDX and Sony EV cameras, among others. Each project also includes engineering time, 2D CAD and 3D visualizations of each system and custom brackets suitable for any installation.
The Personal Units and Multi-Display speakers deliver powerful and versatile solutions for a variety of corporate and commercial needs — from traditional video conferencing to more demanding HD presentations. The speakers are offered in a number of configurations that include three-way speaker designs, angled baffles to support above or below screen mounting and custom finishes to complement the design of any installation. Each speaker is handcrafted and built-to-order in Ann Arbor, Michigan to match the exact dimensions and finish of any single display or array of multiple displays. The Personal Units and Multi-Displays will be shipping June 15, 2011.
