Krell Papa Dock Amplifier Powers KID iPod Dock
Papa Dock is a dedicated amplifier that supplies 150 Watts of power.
Krell Industries is shipping the Papa Dock power amplifier designed for the KID (Krell Interface Dock) iPod dock.
It delivers up to 150 watts of power and features a 40,000 microfarad power supply. It also has physically isolated left and right channels, twelve high current output devices and WBT speaker connectors.
Papa Dock automatically powers on when an iPod is inserted and powers off when the iPod is removed.
KID is an iPod preamplifier that features Class A analog circuitry. KID passes signals through a 256-step volume control and ends in balanced and single-ended audio outputs.
Additional connections include: composite, S-video and RS-232 for use with more advanced control systems.
The included remote control provides full iPod ,management as well as bass, treble and volume control
The KID is compatible with all iPods and iPhones and charges when the iPod battery is resting in the cradle.
The Papa Dock power amp and KID are available for $2,500 and $1,500, respectively.
