Key Digital Unveils 7 HDBaseT Switchers, Extenders
For early 2014, Key Digital is slated to release seven new HDBaseT/HDMI matrix switchers with multiple inputs/outputs and extenders for carrying 4K, 3D and 1080p signals.
The products will all be released between now and March 2014 and each has varying capabilities, including HDBaseT Lite, 4K @ 60Hz, multiple inputs/outputs, and varying distance limitations.
The products are:
KD-HD8x8Lite: An advanced HDMI switcher with Key Digital’s Compass Control system built-in, the unit will handle 3D, 4K, Audio Return Channel support, internal EDID and has bull buffer technology. It has eight inputs to eight outputs using HDBaseT/HDMI over a single Cat 5/6. It includes eight receiver extenders.
KD-HD6x6Lite: Similar to the previous unit, but it has six inputs to six outputs and comes with six extenders with Compass Control built-in..
KD-HD4x4Lite: Again, same as the 8x8 and 6x6 units, but with four inputs/outputs and four extenders with Compass Control built-in.
KD-CATHD250Lite: These extenders can carry HDMI 2160p/24 (4k/UHD) signals up to 120 feet. The extenders can handle HDMI 1080p/60, 1080p/24, 1080i, 720p signals up to 210 feet over a single Cat 5/6 cable.
KD-CATHD250POH: Yet another HDBaseT Lite product, these full buffer extenders carry power over HDBaseT with the same capabilities as the KD-CATHD250Lite.
KD-CATHD300Lite: These extenders have EDID Control, bi-directional IR and RS-232, and a full buffer system. They can carry 1080p/60, 1920x1200 and 3D signals up to 250 feet and up to 300 feet using third-party Cat 6/STP.
KD-CATHD500Pro: Lastly, these extenders offer EDID Control, full buffer, HDMI pass through, Ethernet and bi-directional RS-232 and IR. They can carry 1080p/60, 1920x1200 and 3D signals up to 250 feet and up to 300 feet using third-party Cat 6/STP.
