Inteset Offers More Audio Zones for Media Center, Upgrades Chassis for Denzel Server
The new Ella EADS600 adds six discrete audio zones to Inteset Media Center PCs.

Inteset has been a long-time innovator in the Media Center business, and the company introduced more developments in its Media Center hardware and software during CEDIA.
Multiroom Audio
Inteset was one of the original developers of Media Center PCs that are amenable to multiroom audio. The company's PCs have multiple audio outputs to serve multiple zones, and proprietary software enable control over all of the zones. From any Media Center or controller in the home, you can pick a zone and push songs, albums or playlists to that zone. Volume can be controlled independently for each zone.
Inteset's Maximus Media Center offers four audio zones. The Inteset Denzel has three.
Now you can add more audio zones to your Inteset Media Center setup with the Ella EADS600 audio distribution, which provides an additional six zones of independent audio.
The unit connects to the Maximus or Denzel via USB.
Inteset provides a separate unit for delivering 60 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 70 watts at 4 ohms.
4th Generation Denzel
We reported earlier that Inteset's flagship Denzel Media Center now has a single disc drive that supports both Blu-ray and HD DVD.
In addition to that feature, the fourth-gen product, the DTCD30-Si, has a new chassis that gives it "more space and better air flow," according to Inteset president Jeff Lloyd.
The company has also made the Denzel's back panel more modular with the new Hybrid Back Panel technology, so users can swap out cards to upgrade or otherwise alter components or connections. "For most things, you won't need to change the panel," Lloyd says. "But it is very simple to upgrade most components. The top flips up, and you can change DVD drives or hard drives [for example] very easily."
In fact, there is enough space back there to add two more CableCard slots to the two existing slots. (So far, Microsoft has limited the companies that are allowed to support four slots, the new maximum.)

Inteset has updated the Denzel chassis to be roomier and more modular. Inteset is hoping for the ability to support four CableCard tuners -- note the space at right to add the slots.

Ella EADS600 (top, shown with amplifier) adds six discrete audio zones to the Denzel's three existing zones, or the Maximus's four.

Inteset's proprietary software enables users to control audio zones throughout the house.
