Installing a Hidden Lift in a Kitchen Countertop

Not just for TVs, this custom Nexus 21 lift is used to store small appliances on a kitchen countertop.
It’s always good to think out of the box, or out of the cabinet in this case. This custom Nexus 21 lift was recently installed in a high-end kitchen in the Phoenix area not to conceal a TV, but to hide small kitchen appliances such as a blender and coffeemaker.
The installation was done by F-1 Cabinets and Furniture in Scottsdale, Ariz. The unit lifts a substantial weight to store the small appliances, says the interior designer, Mary Fisher Knott of Mary Fisher Designs in Scottsdale.
She also notes the installation was simple, adding that the idea of using lifts in the kitchen opens up a range of possibilities for space planning and utilization. (Full disclosure: Mary is my stepmother ... way to go Mary!)
