Ideal’s OmniCONN RCA Connectors Designed for Custom Cables
The connectors have nickel-plated brass and a gold-plated center contact pin.
01.24.2008 — Ideal Industries has introduced the OmniCONN RCA connectors for use in custom length cabling.
"Because of the extreme difficulty in terminating an HDMI cable, we expect RCA to become the preferred connection among installers of home theater, commercial and educational A/V systems," says Ideal's Jeremy Corn.
The connectors have nickel-plated brass and a gold-plated center contact pin, which the company says prevents return loss (-30 dB@3GHz), and comes with attachable color bands.
The connectors, which meet SCTE cable retention guidelines, come in jars of 35 with 50 color rings or 10 connectors and 14 rings.
