“Because of the extreme difficulty in terminating an HDMI cable, we expect RCA to become the preferred connection among installers of home theater, commercial and educational A/V systems,” says Ideal’s Jeremy Corn.

The connectors have nickel-plated brass and a gold-plated center contact pin, which the company says prevents return loss (-30 dB@3GHz), and comes with attachable color bands.

The connectors, which meet SCTE cable retention guidelines, come in jars of 35 with 50 color rings or 10 connectors and 14 rings.
