Press Release: Guardian Protection Services Wins Customer Service Award
Won Honeywell/First Alert Professional Customer Service Excellence Award at annual dealer conference.

05.08.2008 — Guardian Protection Services, a prominent super-regional security company, has received recognition for delivering outstanding customer service.  Guardian’s achievements resulted in the company winning the Customer Service Excellence Award from Honeywell/First Alert Professional at their annual dealer conference. The award is presented to the company whose organization and customer service program consistently exceed customer expectations.

“We are passionate about customer service,” said Mike Overby, Senior Vice President Subscriber Services.  “Customer service is a team effort and it is my privilege to accept the award on behalf of all Guardian employees whose hard work made it possible.”

According to Overby, superior customer support is important in any service business. “There is a heightened focus at Guardian for every aspect of customer service due to the life-safety component of our products and services,” he elaborated. “Because Guardian is on the leading edge of industry innovation and new products and services, it is important for all employees to understand and commit to their roles in overall customer satisfaction.”

Guardian’s commitment and innovative approach to customer service also resulted in First Alert Professional’s Dealer Development Group using Guardian’s customer service program as a model for a specially produced video, “Take It from the Top.” The video became part of a downloadable online training series that assists other dealers in the Honeywell/First Alert Professional network with building and improving upon specific areas of business, including customer service.

In addition to security installation and service support for commercial, industrial and residential sectors, Guardian also provides home technology products and services through an expansive national business segment supporting the new home construction industry.

“Guardian Home Technologies provides new home buyers with structured wiring products for low-voltage applications, including flat panel TVs, home theater, cameras and distributed audio, home networking, intercom and security,” Overby said.

“New home buyers demand these latest technologies, which Guardian brings to builders so they can offer them to their customers,” Overby explained.  “Guardian’s award-winning customer service department encompasses the professional expertise to provide exceptional support for each business channel, including the ever-expanding home technologies division.” Guardian is well-positioned to support continued growth from existing and new business channels as they continually develop in the industry.

Guardian Protection Services, headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, is one of the Armstrong Group of Companies. Guardian is the largest residential installing company of structured wiring systems (CEPro Magazine, May 2008) and the second largest residential installing company of monitored home security systems (Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine, May 2007). Guardian has designed, installed and monitored residential and commercial security systems for more than 50 years, and currently protects over 200,000 customers. The Guardian Home Technologies division provides structured wiring solutions that create an infrastructure for advanced home technologies in new home construction, including shared use of Internet, home/office networking, distributed audio, flat panel TV, home theater, intercom and central vacuum to new construction homebuyers.
