Great Ways to Mount TVs

The Mount This! winner and runners up demonstrate custom installers’ savvy and creativity when it comes to video solutions.

Perhaps no contest CE Pro hosts showcases an installer’s creativity and problem-solving ability more than the annual Mount This! contest.

The competition, sponsored by Sanus, always produces inspiring entries from custom integrators, and this year was no different.

You gave us not only TVs that can disappear, but complete walls that get hidden.

You gave us a 500-pound plasma that required precision recessing.

You gave us a marine-installed display that’s so secure it doesn’t budge in 10-foot waves.

The bottom line is, you gave us even more imagination for your future installations.

They press a button on the MSC-400?

Posted by Chris  on  11/09  at  01:42 PM

Cool idea.

For some reason it gives me anxiety watching that though grin  Maybe it’s due to the speed…

30 feet above the fireplace - wow, those are some high ceilings! smile

Button on MSC400, what buttons?
4 seconds, I counted 7 seconds!
30 feet huh? Did you mean 3 feet above?

Come one, that many errors is stupid. What are they paying kids minimum wage that use to work at McDonalds to do articles now?

Hey, John, thanks for pointing out the 30-feet typo. It has been corrected. On the other two comments ... What do you call a virtual button on a touchscreen? I call it a button. We note that the dealer says it takes about 4 seconds. If it shows about 7 seconds in the video ... I’d say that’s pretty darn close to 4 seconds. It’s fast—fast enough to warrant the honors, in any case.

And why are you insulting kids who used to work for McDonalds? What was your first job? Mine was Chuck E. Cheese.

Just so you know…the above poster is not me!  (I used to work for McDs myself, back in the day…)

Oh, and by the way John, did you really mean to say “come one”.  Come on now, is that just another one of them stupid errors?

I think it is an inspired installation.

Oh and my first job was collecting trolleys from the local supermarket….
