Global Caché Partners with iRidium, iSimplex
Software developed by iRidium and iSimplex will fully support Global Caché connectivity hardware for IP and Wi-Fi automation control.
In the iRidium deal, the iRidium software package for controlling automation systems and A/V equipment, the agreement provides a platform for the companies to integrate their respective products, as well as co-market and co-promote. According to the companies, combining Global Caché connectivity hardware with iRidium software running on a device “creates a powerful control system at a fraction of the price of other proprietary systems.”
Global Caché‘s products connect almost any electrical device throughout a home and business to a Wi-Fi and IP network so it can be controlled, automated, and maintained by network-based software. The company offers other connectivity products and capabilities, including IR learning, IR receivers, and sensors, that can be connected to a network. Global Caché devices are designed to work with other standards-based products.
iRidium, headquartered in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, offers control and automation software engineered to run on iOS, Android, Windows XP/7/8 or MacOS devices. Iridium software supports KNX, Crestron, Modbus, A/V equipment (IR, RS232), and other devices. The last software version Iridium 2.0, released in November 2012, offers the possibility to use any control panels, built-in iRidium scripts, striking graphic capabilities which include animation, informers, sample GUIs, and more.
“We’ve worked with iRidium for quite some time,” says Robin Ford, Global Caché vice president of business development, “and we’re excited about their new iRidium 2.0 release which includes some great new features that add significant versatility and capability. Their software is closely integrated with our hardware and provides connectivity to other protocols as well, including KNX, Crestron, and others. It’s a great overall solution.”
iRidium’s General Manager, Sergey Korolev, adds, “This is an important partnership and software release for us. We’ve worked closely with our partner Global Caché and our other partners and installers to craft a product the market is demanding. We’re proud to include new features like working with any control panels, creating any drivers with Driver Development Kit, amazing Sample GUIs and endless possibilities of our GUI Editor. In the A/V market we provide support of all Global Caché devices, preconfigured commands and feedback from Global Caché sensors. This is what our partners and customers have asked for, and we’re now shipping it.”
In the iSimplex strategic partnership, now all Global Caché products (iTach and GC-100 lines) will integrate with the iSimplex Solution, working together with automation technologies like KNX or Lutron. The agreement ensures product compatibility between the two companies and provides a platform for the companies to work together in both product development and marketing activities.
“We’re very pleased that iSimplex has seamlessly integrated our products into their offerings,” says Ford. “Their products are excellent and their strong presence in Portugal and Brazil delivers an even higher level of activity and support for us there. This is an outstanding partnership and opportunity for us and our installers.”
