08.18.2008 — Fuze Media Systems has unveiled the FuzeOne, a whole-home media server designed for retrofits.
FuzeOne offers two features never before included in a Fuze media system: a FuzeOne disc importer and PC control.
The disc importer allows users to insert a DVD into any PC in the home and store it on the hard drive.
The inclusion of PC control enables any PC in the home to control the FuzeOne.
FuzeOne comes with 750GB RAID storage with more storage available to add on.
The server comes with one video zone and five audio zones. It can be configured for up to six video and nine audio zones.
Content can be shared throughout the home, and there's an optional HD Cable Card for HDTV, Blu-ray and DVD playback.
Fuze partnered with ArcSoft in May to incorporate Blu-ray playback into all of its systems.
The FuzeOne will be showcased at Fuze's booth (1070) at CEDIA Expo 2008.
MSRP is $5,995.
