Not many companies can come into a market with the unique prospective of Brodmann Acoustics.
Leveraging the experience it has gained with over 200 years of producing pianos for customers that include Beethoven and Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber, the German composer whose work contributed to the Romantic period of art and music, Brodmann Acoustics can lay claim to some serious musical roots.
Today the Vienna-based company offers a complete line of loudspeakers that include floorstanding and architectural, as well as its famous pianos, and soon its loudspeakers will be available in the U.S.
Debuting at a Definitive Electronics event on Thursday Oct. 27 in Jupiter Park, Fla., the European audio company will show its latest product the Joseph Brodmann (JB) Series JB 175 loudspeaker.
“It is virtually impossible to describe the JB Series speakers and do them justice,” emphasizes Brad Paulsen, national sales manager, Brodmann Acoustics. “These speakers really have to be experienced—acoustically and visually. For this reason, our strategy is focused on dealer events that will provide an intimate audition of the speaker and an introduction to the brand.
“We have partnered with Definitive Electronics for the JB175 event, as they are one of the top firms in our industry, and are unique in their commitment, and their ability to provide cutting-edge integration, along with true, high-performance audio for their clients' enjoyment of the music experience.”
The JB 175 like other Brodmann Acoustics loudspeakers employ the company's Acoustic Active Principle, which uses a soundboard technology to deliver an “organic, linear bass response …. and eliminates the need for the typical 'band-aid' used in virtually all other box loudspeaker designs.”
As part of this concept, Brodmann Acoustics says its products don't rely on “crossover manipulation” and internal damping materials, which it states create problems such as distortion that detract from sound.
Brodmann Acoustics says the JB 175 features a 3-ohm nominal impedance rating, and a frequency response rating of 20Hz to 28kHz.
Aesthetically Brodmann Acoustics speakers feature piano-grade finishes, and it offers custom finishes of any color, any veneer, and any type of artwork.
