Crestron has donated a home theater to the Wounded Warriors Battalion — East at Camp Lejeune in N.C., home to 130 marines who are recovering from injuries.

The donation is part of the Crestron Eagles Program, which is designed to provide comfort and entertainment for wounded warriors.

The home theater, installed by AVI/SPL and programmed by ICD, consists of the following:
  • Crestron Adagio system
  • CEN-IDOC interface for iPod
  • TPMC-8X Isys i/O WiFi touchpanel
  • A 52-inch HD plasma
  • LG Blu-ray player
  • Triad speakers and stands
  • A Velodyne subwoofer
  • Custom cabinets from Marshall Furniture
"We have been overwhelmed by the response we've received from our industry," says Crestron President George Feldstein, who started the program.

"Installers and programmers call and email every day asking us if they can do the next one. These first two installations [Walter Reed and Camp Lejeune] are just the beginning. This needs to be an ongoing program."

Crestron will next donate home theaters to Bethesda Naval Hospital and Wounded Warriors Battalion — West.

"This is our home, and you've made it a lot more comfortable. We truly appreciate your support and generosity," says Captain Raymond Baronie, Alpha Company Commander.
