06.24.2007 — Control4 has introduced the Control4 ProTest Challenge to reward dealers who exemplify the manufacturer’s credo: “to eliminate the stress and friction that come from wasted time, energy, and money.”

According to the contest rules:

  • Replication will be rewarded. Develop a business model that makes home automation accessible to the broad market.
  • This isn’t about the biggest install. Big installs are always impressive. This challenge is about making everyday life easier for your customers in the broad market while increasing your business profitability.
  • Make Everyday Easy a reality. Have you come up with a package that consumers want that generates large margins for you? Did you simplify customers’ lives by adding a unique feature? These are the stories we want to hear.

The winner of the challenge will receive a trip for two to Maui, including airfare and accommodations.

Control4 is offering these perks as well:

  • Each entry/story receives a one-year subscription to 4Sight. Give it away to a special customer or sell it for straight profit.
  • Recognition for monthly winners (beginning August 2007). Besides receiving a $1,000 account credit towards future purchases, monthly winners will be featured on the Control4 Home Page with a link to the individual site for one month. Monthly winners also will be featured on CEPro.com.

The grand prize winner will be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2008.
