DENVER, CO – September 6, 2007 – Control4, the leader in affordable IP-based control and entertainment systems, today announced that it will distribute the Sony High-Definition (HD) Video Distribution System (CAV-CVS12ES) which will be available to all Control4 Certified Dealers. Control4 is demonstrating the integrated HD video distribution system, which enables the streaming of 12 zones of high-definition video throughout the home, during the 2007 CEDIA Expo.

The Sony CAV-CVS12ES gives users 12x12 video switch capability, distributing an HD signal up to 12 different monitors or HD televisions from 12 different sources over a single CAT5e wire per zone. Control4 has integrated the Sony system into its product lines using RS-232. No matter the HD source--DVD, satellite, set-top box--customers can now select and route their signal anywhere in the home.
A single-box solution, the CAV-CVS12ES incorporates eight HD component video inputs (up to 1080p) and four composite video inputs with up-conversion for flexible device connectivity. The CAV-CVS12ES also offers:

- Full matrix switcher with distribution of 12 zones of HD over CAT5e
- IR and RS-232 control
- Designed for and fully integrated with CAV-M1000ES and CAV-M1000NR
- CAV-CVB1 Cat5e to component box at TV location
- Five-year ES limited warranty from Sony Electronics
