Stores 400 uncompressed CDs and is designed for "limited space" applications.
10.20.2008 — Colorado vNet has added the
AS2-400/3 Audio Server to its members of the Vibe Audio System.
The company, targeting MDUs with the new server, says the AS2-400/3 is designed for "limited-space and budget-constrained applications."
The AS2-400/3 Audio Server can store 400 uncompressed CDs on a 250GB hard drive. It offers lossless audio over IP and can deliver three streams simultaneously onto a Vibe Audio System.
"This new Audio Server gives us a competitive edge in the MDU market — we can now easily meet builder requests with a lower-cost multi-room audio system without sacrificing the style and functionality Vibe offers," says Kasey Kumaran of Absolute Custom, a Colorado vNet integrator in Reston, Va.
Colorado vNet says the new audio server can be mounted vertically on a wall. Audio files are loaded from a networked PC with
vNet Director, software which allows music and playlists to be uploaded and organized.
Music can be accessed with the
Vibe Color Touchscreen Amplifier and browsed by artist, album, song, genre, etc.
