06.26.2008 — Colorado vNet is expanding its home automation system with the its CCTV Application.

The CCTV Application enables users to watch video from up to 20 local and/or remote network cameras on the Vibe Color Touchscreen.

The CC1-40 Application Module allows up to 40 touchscreens to display camera views. For smaller installations, four additional CCTV Application Modules (CC1-5, CC1-10, CC1-20 and CC1-30) are available.

The Vibe Color Touchscreen controls audio, lighting, climate, security systems and more. It also just won the "Integrated Home Control" category for the 2008 Innovative Housing Technology Awards presented by TecHome Builder.

"With the CCTV Application, homeowners experience a convenient way to watch over their main house, guest house, or even a vacation home, and they can do so from any room," says Mike Malone, VP of sales for Colorado vNet.

The CCTV Application supports Panasonic and Axis network (IP) cameras, as well as analog cameras via Panasonic and Axis single camera video servers.

The cameras support pan/tilt touch centering, where touching the video image display centers the camera on the point touched.
