Channel Vision Camera Uses Super Wide Dynamic Range Technology
Channel Vision says that its 6901 Vandal-Proof Camera produces detailed images in low-light environments through the use of its digital noise reduction technologies.
The Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company Channel Vision produces a variety of security solutions that help to protect residential and commercial properties from people that don’t have the best intentions. Channel Vision’s latest security product is the 6901 Vandal-Proof Camera, and according to the company, the camera can be utilized in a variety of environments, including brightly lit areas and dimly lit spaces.
At the heart of the camera’s capabilities is Channel Vision’s Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology that helps the camera retain detail in bright and dark environments. Further enhancing the camera’s detail capabilities is Channel Vision’s 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) technology that is said to reduce noise in low-light environments to help the camera produce clearer images. In addition, Channel Vision points out that its DNR technology is also capable of saving hard drive space when using MPEG/MPEG4/H.264 compression technologies, and that the camera also offers automatic motion detection warnings whenever there is a change in the detection area.
Other features built into the camera include a high-resolution color Sony Super HAD II that helps the camera to produce 700 lines of resolution, and a privacy zone feature that allows users to select as many as 15 areas to ensure private data such as door lock keypads are not viewed.
