What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?
TiVo was the creator of the DVR in 1999. With the new BOLT+, we’re reinventing TV again. The BOLT+ is a best-in-class streamer plus cable box, DVR, PLEX server and — most importantly — a video matrix switcher replacement. TiVo BOLT+ is the modern center of a multi-room video install.
What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?
Looking for a modern approach to multiroom video? Eliminate expensive matrix switchers, low-margin streaming boxes and no-margin cable equipment. Check out TiVo BOLT+.
If an integrator stops by your booth with only 5 minutes to spare, what’s the one product he should examine or one question he should ask?
Take a look at the BOLT+ and ask about TiVo multiroom.
What’s your most memorable CEDIA moment?
I’ve had the honor of working for brands that have always been a part of “what’s next” in CE. I fondly remember introducing SONY ES at CEDIA in the late 90s and showcasing the first Sharp LCD TVs in the early 00s. I vividly remember 2009 when we debuted SONOS on the CEDIA show floor. I’ve never worked a more crowded booth in my life!
Do you have any giveaways, contests or quirky features planned for CEDIA?
Come join us for HAPPY HOUR on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. in booth #3014. Drinks will be provided as well as demos of our new TiVo BOLT+.
Think of your closest competitor. What is one thing you do offer that they don’t?
There is no direct competitor that does everything that TiVo does. Instead, we have competitors on many fronts. On the linear broadcast TV front, our hardware and UI compete with every cable box and DVR out there. TiVo BOLT+ has an Emmy-winning interface and intelligent features like OnePass and universal search.
TiVo also competes with streamers and personal media servers because it integrates Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO GO, YouTube, VUDU, PLEX (and more!) into a single user interface. We put Game of Thrones right next to Orange is the New Black as well as all of your music, photos and home videos. Everything that’s important to you at your fingertips.
Lastly, TiVo eliminates the need for complicated installs with multiple video sources all feeding into expensive matrix switchers. BOLT+ is the center of the modern multi-room video system.
