CEDIA Names 2011 Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards

CEDIA named the winners of its Manufacturers' Excellence Awards at the Electronic Lifestyles Awards Banquet during CEDIA Expo 2011.

The Manufacturers' Excellence Awards honored 10 Best New Product winners, one Sustainable Lifestyle Product Innovation winner, and five inductees into the Product Hall of Fame.

Designer Awards

CEDIA also announced the winners of its Designer Awards, honoring the best projects completed by CEDIA members in the past year. Winners were named in categories such as Best Integrated Home, Best Media Room, Best Hidden Installation, and Best Home Theater.

The 2011 CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award went to Don Stewart, executive VP and a corporate partner/principal of Stewart Filmscreen. Stewart has been active in the video and motion picture industries for more than 30 years and is recognized worldwide for his technical expertise in projection screen designs and systems. Stewart was instrumental in the development of screen materials to support the introduction of CRT projectors to the consumer market.
