CEDIA 2009: 8 Things I Really Want for my Own House
It's also a great place for doing your own virtual shopping – virtual as in, "If I had the money, I would buy …." Virtual shopping also applies to products that are not yet available, and ones that are inexpensive enough, but you couldn't be bothered to install them.
After CEDIA Expo 2009, I came away with a nice shopping list for my own home -- some items I've coveted for years; others that are brand spankin' new.
Check them out in the slideshow.

Julie, these are the windows you need and will want. While they may not be motorized they do solve the efficiency problem of 50+ year windows (green is the way to go) and deteriorating binds/cords. They’re so easy to use that you won’t need motors and won’t have to buy the C4 system that you can’t afford because you spent the money on new windows with integrated blinds/shades.

Bell’O makes beautiful furniture… However, try to get all the required parts you need in the box to put it together on the first try. In the past 7 years, they have consistently screwed up every order. Let’s also not forget that their shipping packaging sucks!!! Unless the furniture is strapped down to a pallet, something will be damaged upon arrival.
I’d like to strongly suggest you check out BDI for a more reliable and less expensive solution.
