CE Pro to Present First-Ever BEST Awards at CEDIA Expo
New Best Electronic Systems Technologies (BEST) Awards to honor top innovations at CEDIA 2009 in 36 product categories
06.03.2009 — CE Pro will recognize the most noteworthy new products and technologies with a new program called the CE Pro BEST (Best Electronic Systems Technologies) Awards.
Winners of the BEST of CEDIA 2009 will be named in 36 categories with one overall winner. Judging will be conducted by CE Pro editors and a panel of top technologists and integrators. Criteria includes:
Entries will be highlighted in the CE Pro CEDIA Guide, which is mailed prior to CEDIA Expo 2009 and distributed at the CEDIA Expo from Sept. 8-13 in Atlanta. Submissions will also be featured online. The winners will be highlighted in the October issue of CE Pro. Click here for the entry form.
Products embargoed until CEDIA Expo starts are still eligible for entry, but they will only appear online. Early bird entry deadline is June 15, and the final deadline is July 15.
"CE Pro has been writing about the top technologies and products for residential integrators for nearly 15 years," says Jason Knott, editor-in-chief. "Until now, we never recognized those cutting-edge systems with an award. This is a great way to focus on the new products being unveiled at CEDIA Expo."
The BEST Awards are different from the CE Pro High-Impact Products (CHIPS), which are voted on by the readers and recognize the top products on the market.
