Attachment sales have have always been the way to offer distinctive services and regain margins
when your traditional product lines have become comodotized. Content Loading (Ripping) is a fantastic way to provide additional service to your clients, provide a more complete deliverable and make some additional margin.
Don’t just stop at loading, add pre-loaded music collections and back up Hard Drives to those low end servers which have almost no margin- Sonos and Apple TV are creeping in with 12 pts…

I’ve been offering an iPod preloaded with the customer’s CD collection with every installation I do: home theater, audio system, etc. I have a company called Riptopia process the CDs and preload the iPod, and I make about 45 points. An easy extra stream of cash and the clients love it.
