Are You Giving Away iPads? Is it Working?
Liberty Bell Alarm & Home Theater is getting "lots of interest" from prospects who want a free iPad ... and by the way a (not free) Control4 automation system.
Remember when iPods were all the rage, and integrators were giving them away as sources for a new multiroom audio system?
Now many of you are doing the same with iPads: Buy a home-control system, get a free iPad.
When I last spoke with Mark Buzzard of Sacramento-based Liberty Bell Alarm & Home Theater, he was on his way to close a Control4 prospect that responded to this email blast and blog posting:

Buzzard tells us, "The Control4 app for iPad control is awesome and even more reliable than the SR remotes that come with the controllers. We are getting lots of interest from our marketing efforts and demonstrations of the iPad and Control4."
Are you enticing customers and prospects with a shiny new slate? Let us know how it's going in the comments section below.

Honestly people trust Apple more than any automation gear. Walking around the showroom controlling everything with the iPad has really opened up doors with clients who have been reluctant to jump on board with automation. Who with an iPhone or iPad wouldn’t want a reliable ap that runs their home entertainment and security systems? We see the iPad as a great way to get people excited about automation! We’re sending out another iPad marketing peice to all our monitored alarm customers next week. The iPad Control4 ap works flawlessly in our current installations and has helped close some recent projects. We are very happy with it.
