We asked dealers how far the winner would through a big chunk of metal and electronics in the Amp Toss at the Technician Olympics.
The winning team of Depew and Dennis (sorry, that's all we know right now) threw the SpeakerCraft amp 14' 10" and 14' 2", respectively.
Evidently, dealers either underestimated the weight of the amp or overestimated the strength of the participants because every one of the
guesses was high.
The winner was Ed Hanley, who guessed 17.575 feet. Ed is with Digital Control Systems, Inc. in New Brighton, Minn.
He will win a multiroom amplified audio system from
NuVo for his stunning feat.
